Our belief is to empower the athlete to become a problem solver. Every athlete is different, so we take a unique approach to guiding them find solutions that will transfer to gamedays.
Through competition we put players in different game scenarios. This improves on & off-ball decision making as players look to find solutions to the problems we create.
True success is making a positive impact on the game. We want our athletes to adapt and thrive wherever they go, regardless of their coach, system, or level of competition.
My name is John Murray, and I founded Lead the Break Basketball in 2016. Since then, I have grown and developed my skills by hosting and participating in numerous camps and clinics. I began my coaching career as an assistant at Central Hardin High School in 2020, and in 2021, I became the Lady Falcons head coach at North Hardin Christian.​
I believe that training can be done more effectively, which is why I'm proud to launch Lead the Break Basketball Academy. Here, we will focus exclusively on footwork, defense, and decision training through game situations. If you're looking for flashy moves or tricks, this is not the place for you. However, if you want to improve your skills and knowledge, you're in the right place.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Group settings up to 6 students (coed)
Grades 6-12

$20 for 1.5 hours of instruction.
